Great product. Easy to assemble with in 1.5hr. Looks a bit small for 6 to 8 chickens. Its a must to pre-drill before inserting screws. Will definitely need to but another one.
This coop is for our first chickens, so I'm no expert. I knew that prefab chicken coops typically come with significant quality issues and that I would have to make some modifications.The wood was stained but did not have protection from the elements, so I painted all of the pieces with an exterior paint from Sherwin Williams before assembly. I took them a piece of extra siding and they matched the color of our house. The painting took longer than I thought it would, but I believe it was essential. It was tricky in some spots and painter's tape and sponge brushes helped a lot. Painting near the vent was difficult because the sliding piece of clear plastic needed to be raised up away from the wood--I pushed part of a clothes pin in between and it worked for that small area.I did a good amount of caulking on the pieces to prevent moisture from getting into cracks.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wire--I expected cheap bendable chicken wire that would not protect against predators. One piece was missing wire completely, but I added it myself with a staple gun.I replaced all door latches with predator proof ones. They were cheap from Lowe's. The latch on the nesting box looks to me like it would be predator proof, but it doesn't work and will need to be replaced.I removed the sliding coop door and will be adding a solar powered automatic door.Make sure you look at the measurements carefully. Our township allows three chickens, but I wouldn't put more than that in a coop this small. Ours will also have a larger fenced in area to roam during the day.I believe this will be a good starter coop for us. Eventually we will probably build our own coop. I'm planning to update this review in the future.
I am loving this for my bunny! She will have plenty of space. I will say it is smaller than I thought. Since it is for a bunny instead of chickens I made a few modifications but over all took me about 45 min to put together and was very easy by myself. I couldn't imagine needing two people except for step two which I just leaned it on a wall and got clever with my body parts to hold it still until I git the first screw in and BAM smooth sailing from then on. The instructions are so simple and basic! I'm 5 foot 8 and the top of the roof go's a tad past my belly button and I can hug on the sides and have my forearms on the side if that gives you a size reference. The only thing I had problems with was the ramp. But I got creative and put it on my own way! I would recommend this to anyone and I would buy it again! Although for a chicken... with how dirty they are I couldn't imagine this material would be smart. This thing would be very difficult to clean with alllllll the lines and cracks and ins and outs and not to mention the type of wood it is definitely can't get wet so it's bizarre to me that people would have it outside

It's a good enough chicken coop as I stated in the title but, if you're going to purchase it you Best know how to follow the instructions. I am a skilled craftsman and I had to figure some things out via experience. It seems to hold up pretty securely especially if you add an extra screw here and there. I decided to put caulking (I just bought some small tubes) for where the screws hold the roof down and a couple of areas that I wanted to be sure would not leak, I don't know that it would have but I prefer to be a bit ahead. It took me about 6 hours to break down the boxes and assemble the unit, it seemed a lot longer because of the heat and I'm 72 years old. All in all I would give it an B for what you're buying. I'm sure there are better units out there and it definitely would have taken a lot more time had I crafted one of my own (measuring cutting etc) but, for people that don't know how to do construction this is a Good way to start having a couple chickens.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Build times a little linger then advised. Took me and 2 other adults all early 30s and in good shape roughly 2 hours. For sure want 2 ppl minimum. Also making sure you line up the base of each section did results in and pretty strate structure. Little reinforcement might go a long way but over all was able to pick up and move it around useing handle and wheels. If your shorter the handle might be better placed lower as the angle might cost it to not be as easy to drake.

This chicken coop was easier to assemble than I expected! Had it ready for my 3 hens in about an hour. It's nice and sturdy, with good ventilation and protection. Perfect size, My chickens seem very happy in their new home.
The Coop and run was easy enough to assemble. However when it rains the wood expands and swells. It's compact and small compared to the picture. But it gets the job done. I do let the birds free range during the day because the run is simply too small for four standard size hens.
I originally planned to buy 2 sets for connecting, but considering that I don't have many chickens, I can't use them anymore. The space is spacious, and my chicken can play freely without worrying about crowding.
I was still worried before purchasing whether the large size of this chicken coop would cause installation difficulties,but when I actually installed it, I found that it was not difficult at all. The instruction is very clear and easy to understand, and many places were drilled in advance. The product quality was very good, and it would not cause wood cracking during the installation process.
I bought this for my chickens, and it only took me about 45 minutes to put together'super easy to assemble by myself! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. Works great, and I'd buy it again!
Everything fit together without problems, instructions were good and illustrations were very helpful. I would buy again.
I gave 4 stars because the pre-drilled holes don't align very well. But the wire for the pen is hardware cloth and very stable! The wood is pretty good quality, no splitting so far. The wheels are very small for the size of the coop and pen, and the provided hardware is very cheap and bends easily. However, for the price the whole setup is pretty nice. I'll probably use some metal brackets to support the run and buy some hardware instead of using the latches provided.

Nice and suited our needs. Nice the most sturdy but if your careful when you are moving it maybe it will stay together. Does not have a bottom wire. Good latches and good value for the money.

Large enough for my three full grown ISA browns with room to spare. Assembly instructions are very clear and easy to follow with pictures of every step and pieces, and the holes are pre drilled so there's very little room for error. The wheels are awesome to move the whole thing around once they eat all the grass underneath and seem sturdy. Two things I will doing are painting and/or sealing the wood to make it more weather proof and replacing the 4 latches with heavy duty ones but I still think it's definitely worth the money.
I have 3 chickens in here and it's perfect for them! I move it every 3 days so they get a new area. Make sure you tighten things up every now and then.
While it's not the easiest to move on uneven ground with one person -two people make it easy. We have had our chicken in it for a week or so. So far no predators have gotten in or tried. It's the perfect size for my three teen chickens. Sometimes the doors stick if the ground throws the alignment off however there are so many doors it's never a problem. It's pretty good quality for the price.
