I spent a really long time looking for an outdoor habitat for my eastern box turtle Lily' This one is so perfect! Was very easy to put together by myself, it's a great size, sturdy and all the pieces came in good condition. The wheels make it easy to move around and have locks on them if you want it to stay put. The trays slide out on each side which is awesome for cleaning, but it does mean that some of the substrate falls through the little cracks and gets on the floor. Not a problem for us since ours is kept outside but if you are looking for indoor habitat it's something to keep in mind. It did have a slight smell when opening but it went away very quickly. Lily absolutely loves it! :)

I came across this on Amazon while shopping for our new turtle. I ended up purchasing elsewhere since I needed it faster. I'm leaving a review here in hopes it helps another new turtle parent.I'm giving the negative points first. The terribly strong odor. It's like pinesol mixed with paint. Assembly outside is a must and leave it open to air out 2 days or more. 3rd day for me and the fumes are nearly gone. One of the plexiglass windows has a small surface crack but didn't affect visibility or safety. Parts of the frame have scape marks, some are deep, others are surface. A couple spots with splintered wood. It is poorly painted. Strange circular greenish brown stains on many pieces. There's very fine shavings on the darker wood areas. Make sure to wipe everything down with a damp microfiber cloth before airing out. The negatives are a disappointment but won't affect the finished item. It's actually very nice once completed.Assembly is pretty straightforward and easy. Parts are marked and screws are bagged and marked. Only requires 1 person and 30 minutes of your time. A drill with a Phillips head makes everything go faster.Putting the trays in the bottom was a challenge, they were a tight fit. I'm not sure how easy they'll be to remove to clean once they're exposed to humidity and heat. I personally didn't have a need for the small wood pieces to lock the trays in place. The middle screened area under the light is intended to be screwed down completely. I didn't screw it down at all. I'd rather have lift off access if needed. It fits snuggly enough once the other 2 hinged lids are attached. Instead of screwing the light frame into this piece I put the screw a little lower but kept 2 in the pre drilled holes. Since I have a box turtle, there really wasn't a need for this step. It will be different for everyone depending on what the house is used for. The light hanger is not adjustable and only accommodates 1 light.I feel this was a good purchase for the price and I'd purchase again if needed. I appreciate another enclosure can be added to it. It can easily be rolled and secured with the locking wheels. It's very large and roomy. Even knowing the dimensions when I purchased, I was a little surprised how big the finished product is.

perfect for my beardie! it's a great size and i love being able to easily move it indoors and out. was relatively easy to build with the help of my boyfriend. there was some minor gapping on the sides of the bottom trays, but i just filled with moss to prevent pinching of any sort. it does smell when you first open it but that fades after a day or two

It was pretty easy to put together, the instructions were straightforward. The only negative I had was it does have a strong chemical smell at first, but I expected that from other reviews and it didn't last all that long. All in all pretty happy with the product.

This has been amazing after my newly hatch leopard tortoise was a couple months old! Very roomy! Amazing quality, and so worth the money! The slide out trays are a great feature along with the post that holds the heat lamp. I was able to add a misting system to keep up the humidity a little and it has held up really well! The only thing I had to modify was getting some plastic sheets and cut them to fit over the wire to help keep humidity in, while my baby tortoise is young and needs higher humidity but besides that Totally recommend!

Assembly was very easy. Very light weight as well. Was able to use for our box turtle without a hassle and the mesh screening made it work with our uv/heat lamps. Measurements are accurate.

This enclosure will be perfect for my LITTLE box turtle. I wouldn't keep any of my big boys in just one and would definitely buy two and combine them. Directions were a little tricky, pay attention to the pictures when assembling. It arrived with a broken piece on the lid, I didn't notice until I had it pretty much all put together. No biggie, couple of two inch mending plates and some super glue did the trick. Overall, worth it!

For the most part this was pretty easy to put together. I didn't have a drill, so it took a little extra muscle. The instructions, however, are awful. They could make those a little bit more clear. I'm hoping the plastic bottom makes clean up a little easier.

First of all wanna say a big thanks to the seller. When we had some questions about the product, the company contacted us just few hours later and answered all our questions promptly. Very reliable seller. We purchased this cage for our turtle, and she absolutely loves it. It has enough room to walk and get to the dark room for sleep. We see that the animal really enjoying to be there, dig and hide in her favorite and cozy place. The product is a great size allows very easy access for cleaning and feeding. It made of very light and pretty soft wood which allows to assemble with ease, not cracking tiny bars with multiple screws. Also, I love two removable trays, very easy to clean and take care of ground litter.I love the wheels, very easy to move the house especially for kids. It was very well packed and protected. Very happy with our purchase and definitely recommend it.

It's pretty nice. No leakage and my tortoise loves it. The problem was that the assembly, which came with no pre-drilled holes for screwing the pieces together. So I had to drill holes so the screws could go into the wood which made building it way more tedious.

Nice little enclosure that went together well and has been pretty perfect for my turtle friends. I did add a heavy duty trash bag on the bottoms that go up the sides to help keep substrate and water from ending up on the floor. Other than that it went together well and is working good.

Looks great, easy to set up. Dirt and water does fall from side seams. However I like that we can remove floor for deep cleaning.

Let me start off with you will need a cordless screwdriver to put this together, you have to drill your own holes to put this habitat together but other than han that it is very well made and looks great. This real wood does smell a little bit but it goes away fairly quickly. Happy with this purchase.

This cage is almost exactly what I was looking for to house our box turtles through winter. Quality wood, looks great, functional, and the price was good too. Only downsides I have are I wish they offered one tht was larger, I couldn't fit 2 of them side by side like they offer, but one tht was maybe 48 would have been better. The only other thing I wish was better is there are some minor gaps inside where the walls and joints meet, so I can't put any live crickets in there bc they will escape. Other than tht, rest easy, and make this purchase for sure.
