If you're skeptical about purchading this cat enclosure, DON'T BE!!! This is so well made, easy instructions, quality materials, and sturdy. We have 3 adult rescue cats that sleep in this at night and they love it! Some reviews talk about rough wood, or not being painted. The wood is a natural gray tone, so it is not painted, but looks as such because of the type of wood used. I personally wouldn't of purchased it if it was painted because I don't want my fur kids to ingest paint. The wood is not rough. The design is perfect, and our three cats have room to stretch, relax, and play. The bottom level has room for the litter box, an automatic waterer, and a food bowl. You could purchase two units and open the door on the side to connect the two. Or you could easily attach a cat tunnel and enclosed play yard. I feel it's a great investment for our fur kids, keeping them safe and happy when they need to be in the enclosure. The mesh wire sides allow for adequate air flow, keeping our cats comfortable. So if you're undecided, I hope this information helps. I am definitely a happy customer, absolutely no complaints here. I highly recommend this product!

Easy to put together but the roof pieces were mismatched and the latches were bent. It's ok as far as being sturdy but anything stronger than a average sized cat could escape if it was determined enough. And I wouldn't leave my cats unattended if there were any chance of other animals showing up. Overall it was a I expected it to be, except the roof pieces. They just didn't fit together as they should have. I would have given it a 3.5 but decided to round up instead of down.

Pretty easy to put together, parts were nicely marked and product is very sturdy. Now kitty can go safely outdoors.

Large box delivery- be prepared- but assembly is easy

Was time consuming to build, which was expected' but the 4 stars is due to a few of the holes being in the incorrect spots. We had to pilot drill our own holes a few times. Size is great for our cat - she loves it. We added a cat door in the window with a flat and taught her to use it by taping it up to the blinds at first and then lowering the flap a little every day. By day 3 she had the cat door down (not included in the price of the catio). Cat door was purchased from Home Depot for our lift window. We decided we wanted our cat to come in from the second step based on the height of our window and where each shelf sits - so we did saw off the feet. Our window also has a stucco boarder which made a 5inch gap between the catio and the cat door - so we built a box to go between with 2x4 and painted it similar color. The overall build quality once we drilled our own holes I a. Few places and fully assembled is great, it's extremely sturdy and is holding up well after 3 weeks at least. We put the cat box in the bottom of the catio so our cat goes outside to go potty which is great - no litterbox smell in the house!

Was just what I was looking for and at a price I thought was reasonable.

Easy to assemble with one or two people. Directions are pictographic but I'd you take the time to really look at them assembly is not hard. The wood did have a strong smell but remember, it is fir wood and shingles packed up in a box. It wasn't overpowering and dissipated in less than 24 hours. My boy is using this outside so safety was paramount. He is an indoor cat that would be terrified if he were ever to be outside without an enclosure. The closures mount solidly and you have many easy access points to retrieve your cat. It was a good value for my uses and quite functional and safe. I had no issues with missing parts or cracked wood. Follow the directions and you will have no problem. Don't hesitate to get this, your fur kids will thank you.

I built this pretty easily by myself. I don't know if I did something wrong but the top piece didn't fit perfectly on top of the bottom piece. The two squares aren't identical so it is just a bit off. (Again, perhaps my construction...but still)

Super easy to put together. I'm actually using it for my iguana. She LOVES it. I can't wait for her to have enough of my trust so we can use that bottom door so she can come and go as she pleases!
